Comfy Pocket is a budget tracker with a virtual pet, made by Fajar Nugroho, an independent developer ("we"). This page explains what the app and this website store, why, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- What you log: amounts, notes, categories and dates, and the messages you type to log them.
- Settings: currency, time zone, monthly budget, budget start day and your pet's name.
- An account key: your phone makes a random key that identifies your account. We store only a one-way hash of it. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or contacts.
- Subscription status: Apple handles payment. RevenueCat tells the app whether your subscription is active. We never see card details.
How we use it
To log and total your spending, run your budget and pet, and improve how the app reads notes (we keep the text of messages for this). Nothing else.
AI help
Simple notes like "coffee 4.50" are read by our own rules on our server. If you turn on AI help, messages our rules cannot read, such as questions or several items at once, are sent to an AI model run through Ollama's cloud service, together with the context needed to answer (your categories and recent entries). Nothing identifying you by name is sent. AI help is off until you agree to it, and you can turn it off in Settings.
Who processes data for us
Vercel (hosting), Turso (database), Ollama (AI help, only when on), RevenueCat (subscription status), Apple (payments), and Cloudflare and Google (forwarding and storing email you send us). They process data only to run the app.
What we never do
No ads. No tracking across apps or websites. We do not sell or share your data for marketing.
This website
comfypocket.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our host processes your IP address to deliver pages and block abuse.
Keeping and deleting data
Your data stays until you delete it. In the app, Settings → Delete my data erases your account and everything in it immediately. Deleting the app alone does not erase it, because iOS keeps the account key for a reinstall.
Children
Comfy Pocket is not directed at children under 13.
